About

Emma Sanders Lichfield PilatesAfter years of rigorous sports training including gymnastics I suffered with constant neck and back pain, worsened by an office based job.

Not wanting to take painkillers for the rest of my life, I was advised to take up Pilates by a hospital physiotherapist.

I was instantly hooked and felt the benefits within weeks. Improved posture and core strength reduced my pain and increased flexibility and mobility left me with a sense of wellbeing.

Pilates made me appreciate my own body and recognise imbalances within it, allowing me to strengthen previously weak muscles. Improved posture and strength allows me to lead an active lifestyle including running, biking and swimming.

I trained to become an instructor with Joanne Cobbe, Director of JPilates in London.  I continue to attend regular training courses to further my knowledge and enhance my teaching.  To ensure I keep up to date with what’s happening in the Pilates industry I am a JPilates Associate, giving me access to a network of instructors and the latest research.
